i have been grinning like a cheshire cat as the parcel that i was excited about receiving yesterday contained this...
a copy of the summer issue of Cloth all for me.
not only was i delighted to receive a free copy of this cool new sewing magazine but i was also both anxious and excited to leaf through to find this...
... i knew that it would be in there somewhere and was so pleased to discover the article that Clare wrote after spending the day with us in the studio back in March. the magazine also shares a tutorial (with my photos.. yay!) on how to create the 'sewing notes' ring binder cover. which i blogged about here.
Cloth has a smaller A5 format than the usual sewing magazines, is 88 pages long and the FSC paper it is printed on is pleasing and tactile. it is filled with ideas, articles, sewing workshop information, event dates, tutorials and useful techniques. in this issue there is even a pattern for a cute bikini.
Alice and I started working together at the end of 2001 and have had our work and tutorials included in various glossy and sewing mags before but this is the first feature we have had written actually about us... so thank you so much Clare... as i said before, we are thrilled!
wishing you all a fun filled weekend. we are off to meet a lovely friend and an equally lovely furry friend tomorrow for a walk and chat... fingers crossed for some sunshine.
