after lots of procrastinating i am now seriously launching my sweetmyrtle site
i have had this site for ages but for some reason i have not really got my act together to add my creations. i also have shied away from directing people there too but all that is about to change.
i have decided that i will slowly add the items that i love to make and eventually some of my favourite photos too.
if you pop over you will find some of my recycled paper and felt necklaces and i have now added some of the flower brooches i shared with you earlier in the week.
i would really appreciate some feedback on how it looks and whether it is easy to browse. i have also made each price inclusive so there is no postage to pay for uk purchases. could you tell me if that is obvious to the viewer or should i make that clearer? thank you in advance for your support on this.
the web package i purchased is a very basic one so it does has many frustrating limitations, especially colours and text not changing when i try and change them, but it is easy to add items and to create a wee shop.
I also wanted to say thank you for the lovely comments these past days and welcome to new friends who have stopped by.
and remember to let me now if you are noticing oranges this week and i will do an end of week round up on this wonderfully happy colour x
p.s. i also have two headers for the sweetmyrtle site (old to me now) I am thinking of changing it or coming up with a new one. what do you think?
it looks FANTASTIC xox
congrats for getting it all set up, hope it is a great sucess for you x

Hey Ginny, it all looks very good to me - lovely colours and a very calm, serene feel to the site. Well done! The pricing is completely clear too.
I used to use Mr Site for my own website, but as I'm not trying to attract customers in the same way now, I closed it. But I thought it was a great little package - I just used the basic one and it allowed me to have one of my photos as the background to each page, and plenty of other things that I thought looked good. Now my Hubby has a Mr Site website for his business...
Good luck with it! I'm looking for orange - love the colour :-)
Happy days to you,
Denise x

Hi Ginny,
I've just had a look and I think it looks smashing - love the gallery....wish some of those dolls were up for sale.
It all looks fairly easy to navigate and the terminology seems straight forward.
Good luck and warm wishes,
Nina xxx

Hi Ginny
It looks great - clean and simple and loads up immediately. I am often put off by cluttered websites.
I don't know if I would have noticed the inclusive postage if you hadn't have pointed it out though.
Your gallery is gorgeous - I love the doves!

Good luck with launching your new site Ginny. I think the site looks easy to use. I like the new header but I also like the old one too! x

I think your new site looks lovely and seems clear and easy to use. I did notice the postage being included, too. A pink or grey brooch to go on my winter coat is calling to me!
I love your existing banner as it's so atmospheric (a bit like a Toast catalogue pic!) but the new one looks so fresh and lovely too, with a sort of botanical feel that ties in with the name well.
Thanks for the orange week idea!

Hello Ginny,
The site looks lovely, the gallery is a good idea to show the range of things you create.
I like both banners but if asked to choose I think I would choose the new one - real sweet myrtle.
Wishing you lots of success with this venture.

Hi Ginny,
The links aren't working for me, I'm just getting a not found page...

Hi Ginny,
Your website looks beautiful, and is clear and easy to navigate. I think the postage is obvious, and you also have it detailed on your info page, so everyone should be able to find it.
And I love the colours in your current banner.
Tell everyone now! Good luck :-)

TERRIFIC launch, Ginny! The site looks marvelous! Everything is very clear, all info needed and easy to get, photos wonderful...it's a grand beginning. I like how you are merging your love of textiles and photography in your site. And I just love your leaf banner--it says "Ginny" to me. :o) Hoping very much your site brings you much creative fulfillment, joy and success. Good luck! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Hi Ginny,
I managed to view your website today, I assume visitor numbers had overloaded or perhaps it was down for a short while.
Looking very nice indeed :) Good luck with your new venture!

The new site is very pretty and extremely easy to navigate. My preference is the purple banner for now but I would go for the other one in spring when the myrtle is in flower (but they're both lovely).
Have a super weekend. Kate

Oh I think it looks lovely and wish you lots of success and I am very fond of your purple banner and am inclined to side with the commenter above who suggested a seasonal change.

Wanted to let you know I visited your lovely online shop the other day. I really love the set-up. Much nicer than Etsy. I wish you much success. Also, I was wondering...remember those sweet little fabric note cards I won in your giveaway? Did you make those? I used them all and I'm wondering how to make my own. Have a lovely weekend, Ginny.
