i don't know about you but i am at the stage now where i am willing the warmer, brighter days to return.
i am finding it increasingly hard to find motivation and energy during these dark Winter days.
i know that Spring is just around the corner as i can see signs appearing everywhere; catkins, snowdrops & bulbs peeping through and occassionally a glimpse of sunlight which reminds me of how our days will lengthen and lighten as nature once more bursts open and delights us with this most wonderful season.
Spring is my favourite of all the seasons. it speaks to me of hope, light, warmth, new growth and of new ideas and plans. i cannot wait to get out in the garden and start sowing the seeds which will eventually nourish and feed our family throughout the following months.
so in the meantime, like one of my cats, i have been searching for sunlight, following it around the house hoping to bask in its life giving energies.
I know how you feel, Ginny! I wrote about my lack of motivation today too - it's so dark and cold all I really want to do is snuggle up under a quilt with a big mug of hot chocolate!

Hello, is this the Woolies girl ?!
It's not easy on these dull days is it? Today was dull and very cold, so it was an effort to leave the house at all ! I do have to make myself get outside though, even if all I do is take a turn of the garden and find the plants which are shooting up. But yes, it will soon be Spring and you can revel in Spring flowers, blossom and blue skies - it's just around the corner, Ginny!
Happy days to you

Absolutely gorgeous pictures, Ginny. And I too know exactly how you feel - I am grasping any tiny sign of spring and willing it to get a move on! x

I have been forcing myself to go out for brisk walks, trouble is I come home and crash out on the sofa! I have never wanted spring to come so quickly as I have these past few months. I am glad you found a patch of sunlight to bask in! x

I think animals that hibernate and miss the winter have got the right idea. Roll on spring!

I've spent the day in hibernation mode too. Tomorrow I have to be out all day and it's expected to go sub-zero again, brrr. But you're right, signs of spring are all around, soon be here;)

Know what you mean Ginny!
I'm sat under a duvet in the lounge.
Never before have I wanted spring to arrive so much!!
And when it does you wont find me indoors!!

I don't mind the grey too much, depressing though it can be, because in between we'll have the odd whole day of sun to soak up.
And I can see spring coming with all the bulbs shooting up in our garden (although they take months to flower).
I just don't like the cold :( Around here it's usually quite mild, so I'm stamping my feet at this weather ;-)

i know exactly what you mean, sweet ginny. we are right now in the midst of a major storm... they are saying the worst we will have in ten years!
and i was already growing anxious for warmer weather even before the storm hit!
i'm glad you can hang on and seek out the sun and the warming things that boost the spirit in your home in the meantime. i'm sure those things exist for that very reason... i myself am in great need of vitamin D!
i've missed your blog posts and connecting with you. if you've read lately, you understand why i have been so absent. even when i got back to blogging, my workshops took up so much time! ughh.
anyway, maybe before baby comes and now that my workshops are over, i will make more time to come see what is going on in your world. i need to catch up with my sweet english friend... i've missed you.
speaking of workshops, i'm very curious about the workshop you mentioned in your latest post. i will be reading more about that... want to find out what that is all about. but first, i wanted to take a stroll through your blog and sort of catch up. then i wanted to say hello.
hello!
hope you are well.
